MONDAY — Less than 500 daily cases reported for first time in nearly a month

Coronavirus numbers continue to look better every day.
Mississippi’s total of presumptive cases of COVID-19 now stands at 67, 649 after the Mississippi Department of Health reported 476 newly identified cases on Monday.
It was the fifth day in the last nine that cases have been less than 1,000 and the first day since July 13 with a total of less than 500. Furthermore, last week’s totals and averages were the second consecutive week in which numbers have fallen.
