Missouri starts no-excuse absentee voting, officials urge early votes
SUMMARY: No excuse absentee voting begins today in Missouri, allowing eligible voters to cast their ballots early ahead of the presidential election on November 5. This is the first time this early voting option is available in the state. Election officials are encouraging residents to vote early to avoid long lines on Election Day, particularly given the lengthy ballot. Traditional absentee voting numbers are low compared to 2020. Voters must bring a valid photo ID, and 14 early voting sites are available in St. Louis County and 8 in the city. For more details, visit FOX2NOW.COM.
Election officials are urging people to study the ballot before coming to vote so you can shorten your time in the polling booth. Traditional absentee voting has been ongoing for some time. But the no-excuse absentee voting starting Tuesday means anyone who is eligible can now vote early in Missouri.

Neighbors describe takedown of alleged kidnapper and question how it began
SUMMARY: A six-year-old girl was kidnapped in North City when a 26-year-old woman allegedly threatened her mother and siblings with a gun. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect dragging the child into a home and binding her. Police responded to the sounds of the child’s screams, leading to the arrest of Bernese Crawford. She faces eight felony counts, including kidnapping and unlawful possession of a firearm due to a prior felony conviction.
