Missouri MO-1 primary: Cori Bush and Wesley Bell
SUMMARY: If you’re an undecided voter, time is running out with Missouri’s primary on Tuesday at 7 PM. A major race in St. Louis features prosecutor Wesley Bell challenging Representative Cori Bush. Both politicians emerged from the Ferguson protests but are now rivals. After initially promising not to run against her, Bell reversed course following Bush’s controversial comments on Israel, prompting a surge of funding against her. Pro-Israel groups have invested over $7 million to support Bell, who is gaining backing from unions and clergy, while Bush relies on her strong progressive support to navigate this intense challenge.
Cori Bush and Wesley Bell are the Democrats running against each other in Missouri’s 1st District. The conflicts in Israel and Palestine have influenced the race.

Police investigating after multiple beehives set on fire in St. Louis County
SUMMARY: Sure, please provide the content you would like me to summarize.
The Ladue and Frontenac Police Departments are each investigating after two separate beehives were set on fire in just the past two months.
The most recent incident occurred Sept. 11 around 5 a.m. at the Carmelite Monastery off Clayton Road. Doorbell video from across the street shows an explosion in the distance and smoke billowing from the beehive.
The Ladue Fire Department responded and put the fire out before it could spread, but the hive was destroyed. It appeared the alleged suspect doused the hive with a fire accelerantโpossibly gasolineโbefore setting it ablaze.
Neighbor Amanda Holman was stunned to find out what happened.
โIt was somewhat of an explosion,โ Holman explained. โSomebody definitely didn’t want these bees here anymore.โ
She lives close to the monastery and knows the beekeeper, and she says he is devastated by what happened. The beekeeper, who spoke to FOX 2 but did not want to be identified, had an agreement with the monastery that he could use the space. He underscored how unnecessary setting the hive on fire was and emphasized how critical bees are to our ecosystem.
Other neighbors also don’t understand why someone would do this, according to Holman.
โThey’re honeybees! They’re critical to our existence. It’s a shame. But I hope whoever did this either learns their lesson or gets caught,โ she said.

Bridgeton shelter for homeless families searching for temporary space

For over 30 years, the agency has supported 8 to 10 families daily, but needs to relocate while renovations occur. A proposed location at the vacant rectory of a local church faced zoning issues and community concerns. The executive director stresses that the grant money may be jeopardized if a new site isn’t found by year’s end. The organization remains hopeful for a solution and appreciates the community’s ongoing support.
