Mississippi works to expand broadband access
SUMMARY: The Mississippi Capital Press Corps hosted an event to discuss high-speed internet and broadband expansion in the state, featuring updates from Sally Doy, director of broadband expansion and accessibility. Doy highlighted the success of recent federal and private funding, particularly the Broadband Infrastructure Program, which provided $32 million for ten projects across the state. Currently, many projects are nearing completion, and budget savings have allowed for additional service locations.
