Mississippi woman charged after alleged 'suicide pact' with child
SUMMARY: Brittney Hensley, a 37-year-old woman from Ocean Springs, Mississippi, faces felony child abuse charges after allegedly participating in a suicide pact with her 10-year-old daughter. She was arrested on October 15 in Huntsville, Alabama, and extradited back to Mississippi. Police responded to an incident on July 6 at a motel, where her daughter was found unresponsive among prescription bottles. Both mother and daughter were hospitalized afterward. Hensley is currently held in the Jackson County Jail on a $500,000 bond, while her daughter is in the custody of Mississippi Child Protective Services.
