Mississippi Supreme Court rejects latest appeal of man on death row since 1976

After murdering Marter and demanding ransom, he was eventually captured by police. Despite numerous appeals since his sentencing, he continues to challenge the state’s execution methods. He was apprehended without further incident. Authorities found cocaine in his possession, which he claimed belonged to a friend. Initially charged with leaving the scene of an accident and drug possession, Fombellida’s charges are expected to escalate following the pedestrian’s death. He is currently held on a $300,000 bond.
