Former Gulf Coast church leader pleads guilty on child porn charges

One dead after officer-involved shooting in McComb

SUMMARY: An investigation is ongoing following an officer-involved shooting in McComb that resulted in one death. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near 212 25th Street, where two individuals exited the vehicle. After one brandished a weapon, officers fired their weapons, killing the armed individual. A second suspect was taken into custody, while others in the vehicle fled. Law enforcement is searching for a 2016 Dodge Charger with Mississippi tag PJP357, last seen traveling west on Highway 98. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is handling the case, which will be reviewed by the attorney general’s office.
