SUMMARY: U.S. Rep. George Santos of New York was expelled from Congress after being found to misuse campaign funds by the House Ethics Committee. Despite the majority vote for expulsion, two Mississippi representatives voted against it, citing lack of due process. Rep. Trent Kelly argued Santos didn’t receive enough due process given his ongoing federal criminal investigation, which includes 23 charges such as wire fraud and identity theft, hindering his ability to defend himself. Rep. Mike Ezell also voted for Santos to remain, while the only Mississippi Democrat in Congress, Rep. Bennie Thompson, voted for his removal.

If no timeouts remain, a 5-yard penalty will be imposed. Additionally, overtime rules change, allowing one timeout per team starting at the third overtime. The NCAA will simplify instant replay announcements and introduce stricter regulations on scrimmage formations. Other changes include penalties for distracting signals and the option for coach-to-player communication in the Football Championship Subdivision.
