SUMMARY: After 9 months, over 60 soldiers of the 113th Military Police Company of the Mississippi National Guard were welcomed home from their deployment to Alaska. They participated in training exercises and security operations in Alaska’s Arctic environment, providing them with a new and challenging experience. This was Gabriel Griffin’s first deployment at just 20 years old, and he expressed relief at being home. Families eagerly awaited their return, some holding posters. The soldiers’ homecoming was full of emotional reunions as they were finally able to embrace their loved ones after a long and difficult deployment.
