Mississippi man pleads guilty to trafficking more than 6,000 grams of meth
SUMMARY: Eric Donte Pittman, a 51-year-old man from Ocean Springs, pleaded guilty to trafficking over 6,000 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to sell in Mississippi. Pittman attempted to transport the drugs from California back to Jackson County in August 2023 but was intercepted during a traffic stop by a Rankin County Sheriff’s deputy. A search revealed 6,208 grams of highly pure methamphetamine in a garbage bag, along with two small bags of marijuana. He is set to be sentenced on December 4, 2024, and faces a maximum of 20 years in prison. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrea Jones.

Gulfport sex offender and his mother arrested for not cooperating with police
SUMMARY: In Gulfport, a sex offender named Andrew Betancourt and his mother Jodi Klubnik were arrested for failing to cooperate with law enforcement.
