Mississippi man found dead inside vehicle in Louisiana
SUMMARY: A Mississippi man, 43-year-old Edward Robertson from Magnolia, was found deceased in a vehicle in Kentwood, Louisiana, on July 27. Citizens gather in Lamar County to remember the lives lost on 9/11
SUMMARY: On September 11, 2023, citizens and first responders from Lamar County gathered for the 5th annual 9/11 Memorial stair climb in Millport, Alabama. Participants climbed the equivalent of 110 stories to honor the firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11, symbolically completing their heroic journey. Organizer Mary Homan noted that the event started with 10 participants and has grown significantly over the years, with about 56 people attending this year. The gathering included prayer and the national anthem before the stair climb commenced at J.C. McAdams Stadium to remember those who sacrificed everything.

Teen accused of killing woman in Natchez shooting
SUMMARY: In Natchez, Mississippi, a 17-year-old has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing 31-year-old Dambrelle Thomas on September 8.
