Mississippi man accused of firing into crowd celebrating Fourth of July
SUMMARY: Ocean Springs, Miss. – Henry Andray was arrested for allegedly firing into a crowd during a Fourth of July party, according to WXXV. He faces four counts of aggravated assault. The incident occurred on Cumberland Road, where neighbors were setting off fireworks. Ocean Springs Police Chief Ryan Lemaire reported that Andray shot and injured four people, who were then taken to a local hospital. Andray is being held at Jackson County Jail on a $1 million bond and has refused to give a statement to police. Further charges may be pending.

Hurricane Beryl makes landfall
SUMMARY: Hurricane Beryl made landfall as a category one hurricane near Matagorda, Texas, early Monday morning, with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph. Currently tracking north, it threatens Texas' coastline with storm surges and significant flooding. A storm surge warning is in effect from Mesquite Bay to Sabine Pass, including Matagorda and Galveston Bays. 2024 winners will represent Miss Volunteer Mississippi organization
