AMR welcomes new EMTs
SUMMARY: Tisby attended the ceremony for 13 new EMT graduates in Hinds County, who completed a rigorous three-month course by AMR. Despite challenges since its initiation in 2019, the program has become notably productive. Mayor Richard White, a former volunteer fireman and EMT, attended the event and will welcome three of those graduates as firefighters. Trust, the top graduate, remarked on the importance of teamwork and hard work throughout the program, forming study groups to succeed. The graduates expressed excitement for their future roles, eager to help people during their critical moments and contribute positively to society.

USA Track and Field Junior Olympics coming to Jackson
SUMMARY: This summer, in addition to the Paris Olympics, Jackson, USA, will host the Southeast Region Junior Olympics for Track and Field starting Thursday, July 4th. Competitors aged 18 and under from Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi will vie for qualification to the national meet at Texas A&M later this summer. Events will take place at Hughes Field and Millsaps College, bringing significant economic benefits and inspiring local youth. Organizers seek to make this an annual event with state support, promoting track and field in Mississippi. A parade featuring athletes from the four states will be held on Saturday morning.

Hinds County sheriff announces Holiday Blitz
