Waking up with Wesley: Wet and windy weather causes a messy morning commute (1/10/25)
SUMMARY: Senior meteorologist Wesley Williams reports on the wet and windy weather for Friday, January 10, 2025. Rain is affecting much of south Mississippi, with temperatures in the 40s. Areas like Gulfport and Buuy are experiencing heavier rain and gusty winds, prompting a wind advisory. North Mississippi, particularly around Tupelo and Starkville, is facing snow and icy conditions, making travel treacherous. A low-pressure system causes these divergent weather conditions across the state. The rain is expected to continue into the afternoon, tapering off by the evening.
