SUMMARY: Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio has been nominated by House Republicans for the open speaker position. However, there are doubts about whether he will have enough support during the upcoming floor vote. Rep. Michael Guest believes that with a narrow majority, it would only take five Republican members voting with the Democrats to deny Jordan. Several GOP representatives have already stated that they will not support Jordan’s bid for the position. Rep.
