Mississippi Blues Marathon attracts runners from all over the US and the world to Jackson

SUMMARY: The 17th annual Mississippi Blues Marathon took place in downtown Jackson, with nearly 2000 runners from all 50 states and several countries participating. Russell Simkins from the metro area won the race for the second time in three years. Bradley Davis, a local news anchor, finished in second place after leading much of the marathon. The women’s winner was Emily Levan from Vermont, who is now headed to Alabama to run another marathon. Both winners expressed their satisfaction with the hard work paying off as they crossed the finish line.
