Missing Wayne Co. teen found alive in California

SUMMARY: A teen reported missing in Westboro for nearly a year has been found in California. In August 2023, a video captured the last known sighting of Abdul Muhammad. Over the weekend, Bakersville Police in California informed Westboro police that Muhammad had been found nearly 2,000 miles away. Officers discovered him during a domestic disturbance call. Muhammad disclosed he had left Westboro on his own because he felt family members weren’t listening to him. Initially feared missing, he has now been removed from the national missing persons list and reunited with his mother, father, and uncle.

After nearly a year, a teen reported missing in Waynesboro has been found safe on the West Coast.
