Missing boat found in driveway almost a mile away after Hurricane Helene
SUMMARY: In Hudson, storm cleanup took an unusual turn as a community helped locate a missing boat that had drifted away post-Hurricane Idalia. Heather Ivers believed her boat, the “Main Escape,” was lost in the Gulf but found it nearly a mile away in Mark Weber’s driveway. After posting on Facebook, she coordinated a crane service to safely retrieve the boat, which was in good condition, despite damage to Weber’s motorcycle and guest cottage. As the Vista del Mar community continues to face cleanup challenges, Heather also needs to finish gutting her house before returning to Maine.
The missing boat was found after woman posted on the neighborhood Facebook page to be on the lookout for the missing vessel.
