Minor injuries being reported after drunk uncle flips car with nieces inside
SUMMARY: An inebriated uncle and his three nieces, aged 4, 12, and 13, were involved in a rollover crash in Rankin County. The accident occurred when their white GMC Yukon overturned in a front yard in Brandon’s Riverchase community. Empty alcohol containers were found on the scene. All four were hospitalized with minor injuries; the uncle was taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and the girls to Children’s of Mississippi. The uncle is set to be charged with DUI upon his release from the hospital. No names have been disclosed.

SUMMARY: Southern Miss women’s golf made history by securing its first individual and team titles at the 2025 Sun Belt Championship. SUMMARY: This fall, college football in Mississippi will see key rule changes, primarily targeting fake injuries. Players faking injuries to delay games will now result in their team being charged a timeout if a medical evaluation occurs after the next play’s ball is spotted. If no timeouts remain, a 5-yard penalty will be imposed. Additionally, overtime rules change, allowing one timeout per team starting at the third overtime. The NCAA will simplify instant replay announcements and introduce stricter regulations on scrimmage formations.
