Parkinson’s progresses through stages, becoming more severe with slowness and balance difficulties. Treatment focuses on restoring dopamine levels in the brain, which is crucial for symptom relief. While genetics play a role in about 10-15% of cases, environmental factors like chemical exposure can also contribute. Historic Barq’s bottling building transforming into bed and breakfast
SUMMARY: The historic Barq’s Bottling Building in Biloxi is being transformed into a bed and breakfast after years of restoration. Once listed among the state’s most endangered historical sites, the building was in disrepair, with contractors doubting its survival. Now, thanks to owner TZ Nikovich and the city’s approval, the site will preserve its history as a landmark of Biloxi’s seafood legacy and Barq’s root beer origins. Owned by Thomas Qua, great-grandson of Barq’s creator Edward Barq, the building will house museum-quality displays and celebrate the legacy when it opens in August. Nikovich will reside there full-time.

The old Barq’s bottling building in Biloxi will soon have new life.
