Meridian Rental Property Ordinance still on hold after meeting
SUMMARY: During a Thursday meeting between local rental owners and the Community Development Board, the discussion focused on a rental property ordinance currently on hold. Realtors sought clarification and expressed differing opinions on the ordinance’s content. They emphasized the need for more public meetings to address concerns from all stakeholders, ensuring property owners retain their rights and that the ordinance is sustainable for the next decade. Despite the Realtor board managing around 400-500 properties, many others fall outside their scope. As of now, no ordinance has been established, pending further negotiations and agreement.
