Members of Rankin County ‘Goon Squad’ to face state charges

SUMMARY: Today, six men pleaded guilty to federal charges for brutalizing Eddie Parker and Michael Jenkins at a home in Braxton. The former officers, known as “the goon squad,” used stun guns and one of them shot Jenkins in the mouth. Court documents reveal that the men attempted to cover up the incident by planting evidence and lying to investigators. Today, the men are expected to be charged by the state in addition to the federal charges. This is a developing story with Michael Jenkins as the victim.
