Mega Millions jackpot grows to $720M for Friday’s drawing

SUMMARY: The jackpot for tonight’s Mega Millions drawing has increased to $720 million. This is the result of no ticket matching all six numbers in Tuesday’s drawing. The last time the Mega Millions jackpot was won was on April 18. In addition, a Mississippi player won $104,623.83 in Tuesday’s Mississippi Match 5 drawing. The jackpot for Saturday’s Mississippi Match 5 drawing is now estimated at $55,000. Four Mississippi players also won $50,000 each in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing. Three of the players doubled their winnings to $100,000 each by selecting the Power Play option.

Bricen Rivers pleads not guilty to murder of ex-girlfriend Lauren Johansen

SUMMARY: Bricen Rivers has pleaded not guilty to capital murder, vehicle theft, and tampering with evidence related to the death of his ex-girlfriend, Lauren Johansen, whose body was found in a car trunk in Mississippi.
