MDOT: Neshoba County road, bridge projects making progress

SUMMARY: The Highway 19 expansion project, spanning 4.5 miles from Tucker to Philadelphia, is progressing into phase two, which involves upgrading the highway from two to four lanes. Current work includes various tasks such as clearing, milling, constructing new county roads, and replacing old box culverts and bridges. Phase three will finalize the four-lane configuration. Additionally, two bridges on Highway 395 in Sha County are being replaced, with crews currently pouring bridge decks. This work is anticipated to be completed by summer 2025, while the remaining tasks on Highway 19 are expected to conclude later this year.

An expansion project along 4.6 miles of Highway 19 from Tucker to Philadelphia is making headway, according to the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
