MDMR establishes grant program for certified seafood processors

SUMMARY: The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources has launched a grant program for certified seafood processors under the 2019 Mississippi Bonnet Carré Fisheries Disaster Recovery Program to enhance seafood processing methods and infrastructure. Applications are accepted from July 15 to September 13, 2024. Eligible processors must meet specific criteria, including residency and licensing requirements. Reimbursable projects include adopting new processing technologies, infrastructure enhancements, equipment purchases, and facility upgrades.
