MCBB: Pedulla’s late three-pointer allows Ole Miss to survive Oklahoma, 87-84
SUMMARY: Sean Pedulla’s late three-pointer secured an 87-84 victory for Ole Miss over Oklahoma, preventing a fourth consecutive loss. As an Oklahoma native, Pedulla relished the win against a team he grew up admiring. The Rebels (20-9, 9-8 SEC) bounced back from a significant loss to No. 1 Auburn, showcasing resilience against a tough Sooners (17-12, 4-12 SEC) team. Pedulla led Ole Miss with 26 points, while Dayton Forsythe scored 25 for Oklahoma. The win likely ensures Ole Miss a spot in the NCAA Tournament, with projections showing them as a possible 6 or 7 seed. The Rebels next face No. 5 Tennessee.

Charter schools in Mississippi are working: Let’s give more families the opportunity
SUMMARY: As a member of the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools and the Mississippi Charter Schools Association, I’ve observed the challenges faced by Mississippi students and the transformative role of charter schools. With only 10 charter schools currently in operation, the data shows significant improvements in student outcomes, especially in reading, math, and science proficiency. Expanding charter schools can provide more personalized learning opportunities and foster healthy competition within the education system. To better serve families and address educational disparities, I urge the Mississippi Legislature to pass House Bill 1432, enabling charter schools to expand and improve access to quality education statewide.
