Massive drug bust in Wilkinson County results in 4 arrested

SUMMARY: Four people have been arrested in Wilkinson County, Mississippi, following a year-long investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. The individuals, Melvin Jackson, Aynna Holmes, Gregory Deener, and Willie Smith, will be charged with trafficking a schedule II-controlled substance, specifically fentanyl. In addition to the arrests, law enforcement seized various drugs, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, heroin, cocaine, and other controlled substances. They also confiscated firearms, a vehicle, and over $5,000 in cash. The substances will be analyzed by the Mississippi Crime Lab, and more charges and arrests are expected in relation to the case.
