SUMMARY: An audit released by Comptroller Jason Mumpower found that Tennessee’s Private Probation Services Council needs more transparency in reporting verified information. The audit revealed that expenses exceeded revenues by $97,910 in three of five audited years, with a significant deficit in 2021. Auditors recommended that companies report probationer information to the courts and the council.
