Many Texas Dems endorse Kamala Harris for president

SUMMARY: Several Texas Democratic delegates are rallying behind Vice President Kamala Harris for the party’s presidential nomination following President Biden‘s decision to end his reelection campaign. Biden quickly endorsed Harris as his successor. Congressman Mark V. C. of Fort Worth, the first member of the Congressional Black Caucus to support Biden’s exit, expressed confidence that more delegates will back Harris ahead of the Democratic National Convention. While some, like Representative Jasmine Crockett, support Harris, others, including Representative Lloyd Doggett, call for an open convention. Harris has stated her intention to earn the nomination as the DNC’s nominating process is not yet clear.

Several Democratic delegates from Texas are now behind Vice President Kamala Harris to secure the party’s presidential nomination. FOX 4’s Tisia Muzinga has more.

Search for shooting suspect underway after man critically injured on Northwest Side, police say
