Man’s body is recovered in south Columbus near Lake Norris

SUMMARY: A body has been discovered in south Columbus, believed to be that of Robert Hargrove who disappeared after a car on September 29. The body was found partially on and in under overhanging trees near Lake Norris, where Hargrove’s car was wrecked. The remains were discovered by a worker from the Columbus Housing Authority Maintenance and recovered by Columbus Fire and Rescue, with Coroner Carol Culpepper also attending the scene. The coroner will decide whether to send the body for autopsy and DNA confirmation.
