Man tries to break in to Gravel Hill home

SUMMARY: A Carroll County family in Mississippi experienced a traumatic incident when a man with a knife attempted to break into their home. The family, consisting of a mother and three children, hid in a designated safe room (closet) and the mother shot the intruder in self-defense. Deputies on the way to the scene spotted the intruder’s vehicle and were able to capture him. The man, identified as Steve Goss, was charged with attempted murder and burglary and was found to have a gunshot wound to the arm. Goss was out on bond at the time of the incident.
