Man spends Valentine's Day with a senior in Hattiesburg

SUMMARY: Dee Moye surprised 95-year-old Merle Easter with a Valentine’s Day dinner from Benson’s Steakhouse at the Windom House Senior Care Facility. Moye has been having dinner with Easter on Valentine’s Day for the past five years, as she doesn’t receive many visitors. Moye also gave Easter a framed photo of when they first met in 2020. Easter was ecstatic to be reunited with Moye. Matthew Sumrall, administrator of Windom House, expressed how much it means to the residents, families, and staff to have visitors. Moye and Windom House encourage others to reach out to local senior living facilities about visiting with residents.

Anderson, who set several Bulldog records, credits her improvement to her coach, Cat Stratton, and her Christian faith.
