Man sentenced 30 years for drive-by shooting while receiving plea deal for robbery

SUMMARY: Antonio Roland, who was 17 at the time, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for his involvement in a drive-by shooting incident that occurred in Starkville, Mississippi in April 2021. The dispute leading to the shooting was reportedly over a basketball game and gambling. Four other individuals were also arrested and charged in connection to the event. Roland had also faced additional charges for armed robbery in July 2021, but those charges were dismissed as part of his plea agreement for the drive-by shooting. Sentences for the other inmates involved have yet to be determined.
