Man hospitalized after trying to carjack woman in Flowood
SUMMARY: In Flowood, Mississippi, a suspect named Elias Ovilio Chox-chay, 28, was hospitalized after attempting to carjack a woman at a convenience store on Lakeland Drive. The incident occurred just after 11:00 a.m. on October 30. When police arrived, they witnessed Chox-chay trying to force his way into the woman’s vehicle as she was leaving. The woman managed to drive away, resulting in Chox-chay being thrown from the vehicle. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he will be taken into custody upon his release.

EMCC hosts a cooking competition for high school students

MUW and ECCC collaborate to enhance educational access
