Man dies after being shot in parking lot, San Antonio police say
SUMMARY: One man is dead following a shooting on the northwest side of the city. The incident occurred around 8:00 PM on Warner Avenue near I-10 and West Hildebrand. Officers found a man in his 20s with a gunshot wound; he was transported to the hospital but later died. As of now, the police have not made any arrests related to the case.

Latest on state’s temporary homeless shelter in New Orleans
SUMMARY: State leaders are evaluating the future of a temporary homeless shelter in New Orleans, which opened after State Police shut down several encampments in January. The shelter, set to close by March 11th, has housed up to 183 people, with the current number down to just over 100. Many residents came from encampments near I-10, Highway 90, and the Superdome. The shelter has been considered successful, with 47 people already securing housing, and 49 others in the process. A 30-day extension is possible, but no decision has been made yet. The cost of the facility is approximately $19 million.
