Sandbagging Operations Continue in Orlando
SUMMARY: As Hurricane Milton approaches Florida, Orlando is taking precautions to prepare for potential hurricane-force winds and heavy flooding rain. Sandbagging operations are underway to protect against these threats, with efforts expected to conclude by this evening in anticipation of the storm. The city could experience severe weather early Thursday morning, including strong winds and flooding as Milton’s eyewall approaches. Residents are actively preparing for the impact of the hurricane, underscoring the storm’s reach beyond the coastal areas. Justin Michaels from The Weather Channel reports on the urgent preparations in Orlando.
The Weather Channel Correspondent Justin Michaels reports from Orlando, Florida where he said it is possible that this city in the middle of Florida could experience hurricane-force winds, not just gusts but also flooding rain.
