Man accused of stealing $5,000 from grandmother in custody

SUMMARY: Bradley Peyton has been arrested for allegedly stealing $5,000 from his grandmother at Lake Lamar Bruce. Okalona police found him alone at the lake and apprehended him. According to detectives, Peyton may have taken the money to support his drug addiction. The theft occurred from a box in his grandmother’s usually locked room, which was unfortunately left unlocked. Following his arrest in Saltillo, police are returning to the station to question him further regarding the incident. Peyton is now facing a grand larceny charge related to the theft.
