Man accused of killing mother in Itawamba County
SUMMARY: A man named William Walden has been arrested and charged with capital murder for allegedly killing his mother in their mobile home in Itawamba County. Walden had been released from prison on early release prior to the incident. Deputies discovered a burned body of a woman in the mobile home after receiving a report about a fire. The victim has been identified as Flora Walden. Family members gathered at the mobile home to mourn the loss and expressed their desire for justice. Crimson Tide and Rebels move up in College Football Playoff Rankings
SUMMARY: With just two weeks left in the regular season, the college football playoff picture is taking shape. MAIS State Final Preview: TCA
SUMMARY: The Conerly Trophy will be presented on December 3rd at the Sheraton in Flowood. As the MAIS high school football season concludes, the Tri-County Rebels aim for another state title under Coach Philip Wasson. With a perfect 10-0 record, the Rebels advanced to the finals after playoff victories against Centerville and Columbia Academy. They will face Bowling Green in the 4A state title game, having defeated the Buccaneers in last year’s championship. The game kicks off this Friday at 7 PM at Jackson Academy, showcasing the Rebels’ ongoing quest for back-to-back titles.
The Tri County Academy Rebels are back in the 4A MAIS State Championship game. This year they rematch against Bowling Green. After going 10-0 in the regular season the Rebels are in a good position to repeat. TCA head coach Philip Wasson says his senior class is used to having success at this level. TCA and Bowling Green meet at 7pm this Friday night at Jackson Academy.
