Major solar energy projects take off in Panola County

SUMMARY: Two major clean energy projects are in progress in Panola County, Mississippi. Clearloop has commissioned the Panola I and II Solar Farms, each with a capacity of 6.6 MW_DC, in partnership with Tallahatchie Valley Electric Power Association and Panola Partnership. These projects, along with Panola III, aim to prevent over 1 pounds of CO₂ emissions and power approximately 3,000 homes annually. Supported by over 30 companies, Microsoft and Rivian, these solar farms are expected to decarbonization and economic growth. The projects are developed and operated by Clearloop's parent company, Silicon Ranch, for 40 years, maintaining long-term community partnerships.

Mississippi wildlife commission unanimously passes resolution honoring former chairman

Positioned near Interstates 20 and 55, it local and passing EV drivers. This station, alongside one in Ridgeland, aids Entergy Mississippi's research on EV impact on the power grid. With 3,300 EVs in Mississippi, Entergy is gathering data for future planning, expecting 26 million EVs in the US by 2030. The Brandon station has two fast chargers that can power an EV in 30-45 minutes at $0.30/kWh. Many statewide now have EV charging stations.
