Lowndes County inmate on the run after escaping Tuesday night

SUMMARY: A 42-year-old inmate named Terry Brooks escaped from the Lowndes County Jail in Mississippi on Tuesday night. He and another inmate cut out a window and crawled through the ventilation system before escaping over the perimeter fence. The other inmate was captured shortly after, but Brooks remains at large. Brooks was serving time for charges related to a murder in December 2020. He was also previously arrested in St. Louis for carrying cocaine and a gun. Bricen Rivers pleads not guilty to murder of ex-girlfriend Lauren Johansen
