Louisville Metro Council election 2024: Republicans sweep every contested seat
SUMMARY: In a significant election night for Republicans, they won all seven contested Metro Council races. Republican Jonathan Joseph narrowly defeated incumbent Democrat Rick Blackwell in District 12 by 92 votes. In District 14, Crystal Bast unseated long-serving Democrat Cindy Fowler with 52% of the vote. Incumbent Republican Scott Reed retained his District 16 seat with 54%, while Marilyn Parker also defended her seat successfully. Stuart Benson easily won District 20 with 61% against Martha Willis. Kevin Bratcher claimed District 22, previously held by retiring Republican Robin Engel, and Jenny Mulvey Woolridge won District 24.
Louisville Metro Council has seven contested races, and all went to Republicans.

Indiana election preview
