SUMMARY: Jones College is mourning the loss of former President, Doctor Terrell Tisdale. Tisdale served as president from 1970 to 1997. He was the third president in the college’s history and the first president that had attended Jones County Agricultural High School. Tisdale is known for helping transform the campus, including overseeing the construction of new buildings and was instrumental in creating the Terrell Tisdale Library. Current college President, Doctor Jesse Smith, said Tisdale had a tremendous impact on the campus and was always warm and welcoming. Tisdale passed away at the age of 86.
