SUMMARY: There’s been a lot of recent track activity, which is excellent for Olympic hype. Gatorade recently honored Raymond’s Cooper Rodgers, aiming for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Last summer, he finished second at the Amateur Athletic Union’s Junior Olympics. Although different from the USA Track and Field Junior Olympics held in Jackson, it’s still prestigious. Rodgers has since committed to Mississippi State, won the state championship with the fastest 400-meter time across all divisions, and is prepping for the AAU Junior Olympics on July 28th. His outstanding performance earned him the Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year for Track and Field.
