Local political experts react to President Joe Biden ending re-election campaign
SUMMARY: President Joe Biden’s decision to end his reelection campaign has sparked various reactions among political experts. Local analysts report the news as significant and potentially shocking for some voters, while others express relief. Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor, a move supported by some, like Alabama’s Bill Clinton campaign chairman, who feels it was the right decision. However, former Republican state representative Paul DeMarco disagreed, citing concerns over Biden’s age and debate performance. Discussions continue among local political figures, with reactions unfolding throughout the day and more insights expected later in the evening.
