Local mom starts pilot program for adults with special needs

SUMMARY: A program called Peanut’s Place has been established in Tupelo for adults with special needs. Charlotte Warfield was inspired to create the program by thinking about her daughter’s future. The goal is to provide a place for adults with special needs to go while their caregivers are at work. The program started with assistance from the Create Foundation and is looking for volunteers and donations. The members of Peanut’s Place have been enjoying crafts, field trips, and Bible lessons. They hope to eventually provide care Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. More information on how to get involved can be found on the WTVA website.
