SUMMARY: Metro Atlanta is experiencing a surge in deadly wrong-way crashes, with deaths more than doubling from 2013 to 2022, according to Georgia Department of Transportation data. The increase is particularly concerning during this time of year, characterized by high rates of distracted and drunken driving.
