Local discus thrower earn Silver medal at Junior Olympics

SUMMARY: Christian Collegiate Academy student-athlete Sean Fairley has returned from the Junior Olympics with silver and All-American status. The Gulfport sophomore initially led the rankings during the competition in Eugene, Oregon after a strong start, but fell to fourth place following two weaker attempts. However, Fairley managed to rally, ultimately throwing over 166 feet and securing his place on the podium. Although he is a multisport athlete and is now shifting focus to football, Fairley says for him, “it’s always track season.”

19 people facing charges in George County drug bust

SUMMARY: In George County, Miss., 19 individuals face felony drug charges following “Operation Rotten Egg,” a multi-county investigation involving federal and local law enforcement. St. Patrick Boys Golf team invited to PGA High School National Invitational
