Local business owner Dwight Stevens wins mayoral election in Aberdeen
SUMMARY: Dwight Stevens has been elected as the new mayor of Aberdeen in the Democratic runoff, winning with 783 votes against incumbent Charles Scott’s 691. Since there are no Republican or independent contenders, Stevens will assume office in January.
