Livingston development moves forward after heated discussion
SUMMARY: A new development designed to attract young professionals to Jackson, Mississippi, is advancing despite controversy. The Jackson City Council voted 4-2, with one abstention, to proceed with the Village at Livingston Place project. Councilman Kenneth Stokes opposed it, citing dissatisfaction from his ward’s residents. The plan involves building 200 homes priced between $200,000 and $300,000, aiming to provide an economic boost to the city. Construction is expected to start within the next two to three months.

Suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO struggles, shouts while entering courthouse
SUMMARY: Luigi Nicholas Mangione, a 26-year-old Ivy League graduate, was arrested in Pennsylvania and charged with the murder of Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare.
