LIVE: Ribbon cutting for new tramway bridge in Gulfport
SUMMARY: In South Mississippi, a new bridge in Gulfport has been officially opened, allowing cyclists and pedestrians to travel safely across Highway 90. The bridge is free and has an accessible and a fantastic view of the Gulf. The mayor, Billy Hughes, said that about 200,000 people cross the road every year. The trolley on the bridge is operating during typical Mississippi Aquarium hours, and it will be free until through Labor Day. Visitors can enjoy a great view and safety travelling across the road. With the opening, excitement is building in Gulfport, as people are taking advantage of the new bridge and trolley.

St. Pe’, Schloegel make their cases days before runoff

Long Beach Mayor’s Youth Council now holding Christmas Bike Drive
SUMMARY: The Long Beach Mayor’s Youth Council is organizing its annual Christmas Bike Drive to collect bikes, helmets, skateboards, and scooters for children in need. Started in 2017, the drive aims to provide bikes to kids who might not have one. This year, the council hopes to collect at least 100 bikes to distribute across local schools. Donations can be made at City Hall, the fire station, or the police station, with a deadline of December 14th.
